Updated: FWIW, there is a G73JH-X2, which is similar to the X1, but has a Blu-Ray drive.

DrBoost on the NotebookReview.com forums says there’s a model specifically being released in Australia with the following specs:

“I can only presume that there are a few errors (but hoping not) such as …. firewire, E-SATA. However, it does have Win7 Pro … maybe it’s a ‘business’ gaming machine

    The so called australian model is full of typing errors! I can show similar specs for the G73 in Canadian websites which are offering the A1 model!

    @admin – Im aware, the typing errors i referred to was not meant for u, rather the various online shops who write whatever crap they want to just fill up their online pages in the features and specification section of the product they sell. Thats why i said that I came across resellers in Canada who have mentioned it having the esata and firewire, some have mentioned it as an 18.4 inch laptop. Its always best to rely on the authenticated sources as far as specs are concerned….But in any case if they do come out with such a model in Australial, then definitely its the best one around…but till it becomes a reality i would assume the A2 is the best bang for your bucksat the moment!

    This site is aussie site that has the final specs… So screen res. is 17.3-inch HD LED BACKLIT (1920×1080)
